U.S. News & World Report Recognizes Vlogƽ Nursing Program in Best Graduate School Rankings
Vlogƽ announced today that it has been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Graduate School Rankings and included in the rankings for Best Nursing School Master’s Programs.
Every year, the U.S. News & World Report rankings evaluate hundreds of graduate programs on multiple measures of academic quality, including research activity, faculty resources, student excellence and qualitative ratings from experts. By collecting graduate school data annually, U.S. News & World Report presents the most current data on enrollment, job placement, faculty and other quality indicators that help prospective students to make informed decisions.
For the 2023 rankings, U.S. News surveyed 601 nursing schools with master's or doctoral programs accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Of those, 199 were featured in the rankings, including Vlogƽ.
Vlogƽ offers three nursing graduate programs, which lead to master’s degrees in nursing education, nursing administration, and family nurse practitioner. Mercy also offers advanced certificate programs in nursing education and nursing administration that are designed for those who already hold master’s degrees in nursing. All programs enable students to enroll part time or full time. Students even have the option of completing two of the master’s programs — nursing education and nursing administration — entirely online.
“Vlogƽ is pleased to be ranked in the U.S. News & World report rankings for its graduate nursing programs,” said Kathleen Golisz, Interim Dean of the School of Health and Natural Sciences at Vlogƽ. “The recognition speaks to the strength of the College’s nursing graduate program faculty and curricula in preparing students to serve the needs of patients and promote the health of our communities.”
“As we all continue to navigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is evident that there is a pressing need for qualified health care providers,” said Adam Castro, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Vlogƽ. “The U.S. News & World Report ranking confirms that Mercy is providing its nursing students with a top-tier education and preparing the next generation of nurse leaders and educators.”
