Dear Students,
We can’t wait to welcome you back on campus. Our teams are working hard to prepare for the upcoming fall term, and we are looking forward to seeing you back as soon as safely permitted. To help us navigate through the reopening process, Mercy is continuously evaluating New York State recommendations received from local and state officials. We will continue to share updated information as it is confirmed and in the coming days will share information about a new webpage dedicated to our reopening plans.
While there are still some important details to be worked out, here is what we do know is happening for the fall 2020 term.
- ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s task force workgroups are creating detailed plans that will provide recommendations for how to reopen our campuses safely while continuing to adhere to recommended social distancing guidelines. These workgroups will continue to follow state and local safety recommendations and adapt accordingly.
- In many cases, for classes scheduled to be on campus, Mercy is planning to offer students the flexibility of attending those classes either in-person or online. In these cases, students in the classroom and online will be together at their scheduled meeting time, with Zoom-based live lectures and interactive classroom discussions.
- ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ will start the fall term in September (subject to any laws and executive orders).
- ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ students will have access to resources that are vital to their success including tutoring, student life activities, PACT mentor meetings and many others.
- The College is anticipating that residence halls in Dobbs Ferry and Manhattan will be open this fall with reduced occupancy.
- Mercy will provide enhanced cleaning protocols to ensure that all spaces are thoroughly and routinely cleaned.
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ is here for you. Please reach out to your PACT mentors if you have any questions about your registration.
We are committed to helping you continue your education through this unprecedented time.
Sincerely,
Kevin Joyce
