On Sunday, October 23, ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ staff members, many of whom are cycling enthusiasts in their free time, participated in the 28th Annual Tour De Bronx – a free cycling event organized by the Bronx Borough President’s Office that was created to celebrate and encourage healthy lifestyles and alternative modes of transportation.
The cyclists representing Mercy – who donned ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ jerseys for all to see – included Scorpio Rogers, vice president of the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Bronx and Manhattan Campuses, Kevin Joyce, vice president of student affairs, and Matt Presser, assistant vice president of institutional research and innovation. They joined approximately one thousand riders on a tour of the borough’s most popular and historical sites, including the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden. Joyce even finished in the top then of participants. Additionally, Marques Payne, associate director of public relations and community outreach at Mercy, was featured during the speaking portion of the program, alongside Bronx community leaders and many other friends of the College.
