ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ President's Office Message - April 24 News

Dear ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Faculty,

Reminder:  Adjunct Ballots Regarding the SIEU’s Efforts to Unionize ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Adjunct Faculty Must be RECEIVED by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) by Close of Business May 1

This is a reminder that if you have not completed and mailed your ballot to the NLRB, you should do so as soon as possible. To be counted, the ballots must be received in the New York City office of the National Labor Relations Board by close of business on May 1, 2019. Accordingly, I would suggest mailing back the ballots as soon as possible so it is certain they will arrive by May 1. This is a very important issue for our adjuncts, our students and ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ. Please do not leave it to others to decide for you.

As this voting period comes to a close, I want to express my deep appreciation to the large number of adjuncts and other community members that have reached out the past several weeks with your messages of support and your thoughtful questions. These messages of support for the college and our mission have made me optimistic about this vote.  More importantly, these messages have made me optimistic that we can continue to build and strengthen our relationship together.

Thank you again, and we will of course keep you posted with any additional developments. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Tim Hall
President
