Vlogƽ is pleased to announce a new scholarship program with RaiseMe, a social enterprise, that allows high school students to start earning scholarship money starting in the ninth grade. Through this online platform, students can earn ‘micro-scholarships’ from Vlogƽ for a wide range of individual achievements. For example, students can earn the following money by completing specific tasks:

  • Get an A in a Core Course — $100
  • Take a leadership role in an extracurricular activity or sport — $100
  • Volunteer in your community — up to $750

“Vlogƽ is excited to partner with RaiseMe to help make higher education more accessible and affordable to prospective students,” said Adam Castro, Vice President of Admissions at Vlogƽ. “Through this partnership, we can help identify qualified students earlier in the recruiting process and through their hard work help them achieve the dream of a college education.”

RaiseMe is committed to expanding access to higher education, and was developed in response to the fact that most scholarships and grants today are awarded by colleges at the very end of high school, which is often too late to impact a student’s college ambitions or choices. This program encourages students to work hard throughout high school, enabling them to become more successful college students.

RaiseMe has partnered with nearly 250 schools including Syracuse University, University of Dayton, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Penn State, and Franklin and Marshall College. RaiseMe is a free service and also provides a portal for high school counselors to help students track their progress.
