Dear Adjunct Faculty and Lecturers,
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) met on Thursday, February 11, 2021 to continue negotiating the initial collective bargaining agreement between the parties. We shared and/or discussed proposals on the following collective bargaining agreement topics: Union Security and Check Off, Union Rights, Management Rights, Grievance Procedure, Arbitration, and Discipline and Discharge. In addition the SEIU presented its initial proposals on matters relating to adjunct rank, evaluation and professional development, course assignments, and compensation.
We are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement on the topic of Inclusion in the Academic Community.
Our next bargaining session is scheduled for March 4, 2021. The College has also offered additional dates for bargaining in March. We look forward to continuing to work with the SEIU toward additional agreements.
We will continue to provide you with regular updates on our progress as this important process moves forward.
