Dear Study Abroad Students,

The College has been notified of new guidelines from the New York State Department of Health regarding updated protocol for travelers returning from high impacted areas identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (China, South Korea, Italy, Iran and Japan).

Guidelines for High Impacted Areas (China, South Korea, Italy, Iran and Japan):

  • If you are returning from a currently impacted country or region of an impacted country, you will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon return to the United States. Visit  for more information on impacted countries.
  • Quarantine should be at home if that is an option.
  • If an at-home quarantine is not an option, ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ will work with you to make proper arrangements.

Guidelines for All Countries:

  • If you are returning home from a country that is not on the highly impacted list, Mercy will work to assist you in your transition home.

Please be reminded that the following Mercy staff are available 24-hours a day to assist you with the process of returning home and to address your questions and concerns:

Sincerely,
Kevin Joyce
